Providing free disability advocacy and information to ensure migrant, refugee and Aboriginal people with disability gain equitable access to a range of services provided by government and non-government agencies. Advocating with and on behalf of individuals and/or their carers in ensuring that services are responsive to their cultural and linguistic needs. Raising community awareness of the needs and rights of people with disabilities. EDAC also delivers cross-cultural advice training to organizations on best practice models of service delivery and support for ethnic people with disabilities. EDAC uses accredited language interpreters.
